Introduction

The reality of bullying is that it has no age limitation nor is it limited by location.  Another misconception is that anti-bullying does not necessarily mean self-defense.  Anti-bulling classes are based on individual mental and physical development, therefore, simply teaching someone how to fight defeats the purpose of anti-bullying training.  At our school our anti-bullying classes are based on:

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Sun Tzu, The Art of War

So rather than teaching our students how to beat others, we concentrate on helping them to get to know themselves.  Once a student recognizes his/her strengths and weaknesses then we work on a plan to help them enhance their strengths and overcome their weaknesses.  Consider the following: “bullies want to pick on someone that is easy prey”.  So developing our students’ self-confidence is normally enough to keep bullies away.

Of course, our anti-bullying classes go beyond the mental development of our students.  In reality, every class we teach covers the basic skills we want all our students to develop:

  • Physical Coordination
  • Resource allocation
  • Conditioning
  • Leadership training
  • Management training
  • Communication skills
  • Self-defense skills
  • Martial Arts training
  • Problem-solving skills

At the end of the day, our anti-bullying classes empower and enlighten our students which by default reduces the probability of them becoming victims of bullying.   We can help you and your dear ones, whether you are been bullied or not, so should you give us a try?
